Barney Norris

Time, place and the stories that shape us – Barney Norris's 'defiantly unfashionable' new work of fiction moves between the city and a family sheep farm, a meditation on a young man trying to push against the tide and map out his own story. He is in conversation with author and critic Catherine Taylor.

Barney Norris is an award-winning author and playwright whose work has been translated into eight languages. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, teaches Creative Writing at the University of Oxford, and regularly reviews fiction for the Guardian. His other works include Five Rivers Met on a Wooded Plain.
