Tim Strangleman, Lee Rourke and Yvonne Singh

What does it mean to be working class? Professor Tim Strangleman of University of Kent is joined by Faversham-based journalist and writer Yvonne Singh and prize-winning author Lee Rourke (Vulgar Things, 2014; The Canal, winner of the Guardian’s Not the Booker Prize, 2010) to debate Know Your Place, a collection of twenty-two essays by writers who examine the question as it relates to them. Described by the New Statesman as ‘a revelatory self-portrait of the working class’.

The collection is edited by Nathan Connolly of independent publisher Dead Ink Books.
