We hope you enjoyed this year's literary festival! There are many highlights, now available to view on the website photo gallery. Thanks to everyone who sent in their photographs!
Thank you to everyone who supported the Festival Bookstall this year. It's the first time it has been run by the festival and it went without a hitch, thanks to our dedicated team of helpers. In the past couple of years book selling has worked independently without any of the proceeds being put into supporting the festival – but as books are what makes this festival tick, it's a vital source of income to help keep the festival afloat. Thank you to everyone who bought a book!
And thank you to all our volunteers... looking fabulous in the new festival gilets!
The festival had more than 200 entries in this year's writing competitions for schools in Faversham and surrounding villages. The winners from the Under-18 competition are from Queen Elizabeth Grammar School; the winners from the Under-11 entries are from Ethelbert Road Primary School. The winners receive National Book tokens plus £100 of books donated to each of the school libraries.
Other donations from this year's events will be given to the Abbey Physic Community Garden; Faversham Rowing Club; Faversham and Villages Refugee Solidarity Group; Faversham Foodbank.
Huge thanks to the festival sponsors and everyone who supported it and helped make it happen.
The dates for next year's festival are 18–26 February 2023
