Roger McGough

Roger McGough

In his new show 'Alive and Gigging', eighty-five year old Roger McGough, the ‘living proof of himself', takes to the stage with a show featuring new poems as well as old favourites, and recalling key moments of his life.

President of the Poetry Society and presenter of Radio Four's Poetry Please, the world's longest-running poetry radio show, not only did Roger help kickstart the musical careers of Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix, but he inspired hundreds, if not thousands of young poets (well, quite a few), on their poetic journeys.

Lots of laughs about life and growing old... Not to be missed.

This show will include a 20-minute interval.
