Queen of crime fiction and author of over 25 novels in the genre, Elly talks to fellow crime writer and festival favourite, William Shaw, about her latest fiction The Last Word, a cosy, twisty mystery that reintroduces the glorious characters from the bestselling The Postscript Murders, shortlisted for the Gold Dagger.
Elly Griffiths is the author of the bestselling Dr Ruth Galloway Series, The Brighton Mysteries and several stand-alone crime novels. She also writes the Justice Jones Mystery Series for children. She won the 2020 Edgar Award for The Stranger Diaries, and in 2016 was awarded the prestigious CWA Dagger in the Library Award for her work in the genre.
Crime writer William Shaw has been longlisted three times for the Theakston’s Crime Novel of the Year and shortlisted for the CWA Historical Dagger, a Barry and The CWA Gold Dagger.
