Sara worked as a lawyer for seventeen years before doing a Master of Studies in Creative Writing at Cambridge University, where she was the recipient of the 2015 Michael Holroyd Prize for Creative Writing. Her work has been shortlisted for the Bath Short Story Award and published in The Caribbean Writer as well as being shortlisted for the Lucy Cavendish Prize in 2016. 'The Confessions of Frannie Langton' has been  optioned for TV.
