Julia Woolf and Lou Kuenzler

Julia Woolf is an animation artist turned illustrator based in Faversham. Her first book as author / illustrator was Giraffe on a Bicycle, full of personality-packed characters . . . and bicycle parts! This was followed by Lazy Cat, a captivating story about friendship published in 2017. Her new book, Not Yet Zebra, written by Lou Kuenzler with illustrations by Julia, is out in early 2018. Julia's work has been shortlisted for the AOI Awards in the New Talent, Children's Books category.

Julia worked for twenty years in animation, including a stint at Dreamworks in Los Angeles, before enrolling at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge where she completed an MA in children's book illustration. The course challenged her to experiment with different processes and took her in a fresh new direction. She says that what she loves about being an illustrator is that it's fun!

Lou Kuenzler is the author of numerous books for children, including My Digger is Bigger, Eat Your People, the Shrinking Violet series, the Princess DisGrace series and the Bella Broomstick series.
